Description:
Cpl Healthcare in conjunction with a Mid Leinster Hospital are currently recruiting for a Chief Pharmacist for a 2012 start.
As head of the Pharmacy department, reporting directly to the hospital manager, you will be responsible for the provision, evaluation and implementation of improvement strategies for pharmaceutical services.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
· Management of the annual pharmacy budget.
· Quality management with responsibility for quality improvement in medicines management.
· Working closely with all stakeholders to identify and implement quality improvement strategies.
· Development and Implementation of antimicrobial stewardship guidelines and pain management guidelines and protocols.
· In house Education
· Clinical duties at ward level, patient counselling and provision of medication.
The successful candidate will possess:
1. Broad hospital pharmacy experience
2. Established strategic management skills
3. Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and influence at all levels
4. Planning, organizational and resource management expertise
