Senior Medical Social Worker

CPL Healthcare 49 St. Stephens Green, Dublin 2.

Social Worker required for senior medical position in acute hospital, North Dublin.

This is a senior role and will involve working in a stand-alone capacity providing a service to both inpatients and out-patients to include:

· Personal support and counselling
· Advice on health and social welfare benefit
· Discharge planning
· Multidisciplinary team liaison
· Child protection and welfare responsibilities
· Attendance at meetings, committees and educational activities as required

Interested candidates will be required to have:
· Hold a recognised qualification in Social Work with relevant accreditation from NSWQB / CORU
· At least 2-3 years experience as a Social Worker with some experience in the area of medical social work
· Understand the total healthcare delivery system
· Be computer literate
· Have excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities
· Have proven organisational skills
· Have the ability to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage a number of issues simultaneously and demonstrate attention to detail
