Vascular Scientist

Vascular Scientist required for part time position (3 days per week) in acute hospital, Co. Offaly

The role consists of providing high quality, effective Vascular Ultrasound service and comprises inpatient, outpatient and emergency work. The workload of the vascular lab consists of the following non-invasive tests including Carotid/Vertebral artery, Upper and lower limb arterial and upper and lower limb venous to name a few. The department consists of two full time clinical vascular scientists and one part-time clinical vascular scientist.

interested candidates will

• A certificate or a degree in medical physics and physical measurement from a college of technology or equivalent vascular ultrasound qualification. Preferably AVS (Full Accreditation with Society of Vascular Technology for Great Britain and Ireland)
• Able to perform a wide range of vascular ultrasound investigations (unsupervised)
• Demonstrable vascular ultrasound experience
• Permission to work in the EU and/or UK
• Able to produce full and relevant clinical report of investigation findings (unsupervised)
• Competent IT skills (in the use of Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access)

This position will offer a start date in mid March.
