Clinical Perfusionist, Cork city hospital

Cpl Healthcare is seeking applications for the prestigious role of Clinical Perfusionist. This is a new role with a soon to be opened Cardiothoracic service at a private Cork hospital.

The successful candidate will be part of Ireland’s top private hospital network which includes two acute hospitals, a radiation oncology centre, two day-hospitals and three outpatient clinics located throughout the country. The network delivers the full range of healthcare specialties including cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedic and spine, emergency and out-patient services.

This is a pivotal role where the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team delivering perfusion services.

To be considered for the role, interested applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Be accredited and registered by the College of Clinical Perfusion Scientists of Great Britain and Ireland as a practising Clinical Perfusionist.
• Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
• Have at least 2 years’ experience as a Clinical Perfusionist.
• Have a strong knowledge of cardiopulmonary bypass techniques, equipment, and procedures.
• As there is a significant on-call element to the role, interested applicants must be available for this.

Desirable:

• Qualifications or completed course in a Management related discipline.
• MSc in a related Healthcare area.
