Senior Speech & Language Therapist | Young Adults Disability Team
Location: Johnstown, Co. Kildare (1 day remote working per week)
Contract: Permanent, 35 hours per week
Salary: €65,197 - €76,767 DOE
Hours: Full-time or Part-time considered
The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with young adults aged 18-26 years across a variety of settings, including day services, home environments and community locations throughout Dublin, South Kildare and West Wicklow. The successful candidate will join a supportive interdisciplinary team committed to delivering person-centred, evidence-based care and helping individuals achieve meaningful outcomes.
About the Role:
As a Senior Speech & Language Therapist, you will manage your own caseload while collaborating closely with colleagues across a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and prioritising a varied clinical caseload.
- Conducting comprehensive Speech & Language Therapy assessments and interventions.
- Developing person-centred therapy plans based on individual needs and goals.
- Providing training, guidance and support to families, carers and support staff.
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborative care planning.
- Contributing to service development, quality improvement initiatives and research activities.
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and effective caseload management.
- Travelling across service locations as required.
Requirements:
Applicants should have:
- A recognised qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
- Current CORU registration.
- At least 3 years' post-qualification clinical experience.
- Experience working with young people or adults with complex disabilities.
- Experience in Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing (FEDS) assessment and intervention.
- Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A full clean driver's licence and access to a car.
- Full eligibility to work in Ireland without sponsorship.
