Cpl Healthcare is currently seeking qualified and experienced free lance Instructors in:

  • BLS/ Heartsaver AED Training
  • Patient Moving and Handling training

to deliver high-quality training courses to our healthcare agency workers across Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and safety education and the ability to engage and inspire learners of all backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Deliver certified courses including but not limited to:

  • BLS AED (Irish Heart Foundation)
  • Heartsaver AED (Irish Heart Foundation)
  • Patient Moving and Handling
  • Ensure all training is conducted in line with current guidelines and best practices (e.g. Irish Heart Foundation standards).
  • Adapt course delivery to meet candidates needs while ensuring learning objectives are met.
  • Prepare training materials and maintain accurate records of attendance and assessments.
  • Maintain equipment and training resources to a high standard.
  • Submit training feedback and reports as required.

 

Qualifications required:

 

Qualification For BLS Instructors:

  • Valid Irish Heart Foundation BLS Instructor licence

 

Qualification For Patient Moving and Handling Instructors:

  • QQI Level 6 Patient Handling instructor course

 

Requirements:

 

  • Previous experience delivering BLS/Heartsaver or Patient Moving and Handling training to groups
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate patient moving handling training programs for agency workers.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Ensure training aligns with relevant legislation and safety protocols.
  • Conduct practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises.
  • Provide guidance and support to agency workers on safe patient moving and handling techniques.
  • Stay updated on the latest patient moving and handling best practices and regulations.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating patient moving and handling risks within the workplace.
  • Prepare and maintain training materials and documentation
  • Professional insurance and relevant certifications (where applicable)
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of delivery

 

Desirable:

  • QQI Level 6 Training Delivery and Evaluation (Train the Trainer)
  • Additional health & safety or manual handling training qualifications
  • Experience working with healthcare sector
  • Access to transport and willingness to travel nationwide. Our trainings are currently taking place in Dublin City Centre and Dundalk but you might be required to travel further. (Mileage?)
  • Interest in acquiring further training development in Safety Intervention Training (training provided).
