Social Care Worker – Adult Disabilities Service

Are you passionate about disability rights, social inclusion, person-centred practice and service innovation?

We have an exciting opportunity where you will join a multi-disciplinary team participating in an innovative new assessment project designed to better understand the aspirations, goals and support needs of adults who use our clients’ services in line with the principles of New Directions.

This project presents an opportunity to contribute directly to the future design of adult disability services and to support a model of service that is led by the goals, preferences and ambitions of the people who use our clients’ services

The role:

  • Start date: Mid to late September 2026
  • Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
  • Initial training and induction period provided by the client
  • Approximately 6 to 8 weeks undertaking scheduled assessments with adults attending various services

Assessments will focus on:

  • Individual life aspirations and future goals
  • Community participation and inclusion
  • Supports required to achieve meaningful outcomes
  • Identification of unmet needs and opportunities for development
  • Assessments will be pre-arranged and coordinated by the client

Locations:

The primary project base will be Clontarf, Dublin, with some activity across nearby satellite services. There may also be occasional requirements to work in South and West Dublin

The Candidate:

  • A recognised qualification as a Social Care Worker, CORU registration and experience working in disabilities services.
  • Values of person-centredness, respect, collaboration, courage, quality and stewardship
  • Have an understanding of the principles of New Directions and rights-based service delivery
  • Skilled in engagement, interviewing, facilitation and gathering meaningful information from adults with diverse communication needs
  • Bring a progressive and strengths-based approach to disability support
