Cpl in partnership with our client, are seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Person in Charge (PIC) to lead a residential service.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who is committed to delivering person-centred care and supporting individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives.

 

About the Role

As Person in Charge, you will have overall responsibility for the operational management, governance, and quality of care within the designated service. You will ensure compliance with HIQA standards and relevant legislation while leading and supporting a committed team of healthcare professionals.

The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and management of the service.
  • Ensure compliance with HIQA regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Promote and deliver person-centred care and support.
  • Manage staffing, supervision, performance, and development of team members.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and risk management.
  • Oversee service budgets and resource allocation.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Nursing Qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' management experience within health or social care services.
  • Strong knowledge of HIQA regulations and safeguarding requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing teams and service delivery in a residential setting.
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport.

Desirable

  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
  • Qualification in management or leadership.
  • Proven track record in quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
