Business Manager – Medical Directorate
Cpl Healthcare is seeking applications from experienced highly skilled operational leaders for the role of Directorate Business Manager.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping, developing and optimising services across the Medical Directorate. This is a senior leadership position that requires strategic thinking, strong operational capability and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a complex, multidisciplinary hospital environment.
As Directorate Business Manager, you will be a key member of the Directorate Management Team, responsible for ensuring the effective operational performance of the Directorate and supporting the achievement of organisational and national targets.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and Clinical Director, you will lead across a diverse portfolio including Operational Management, Service & Strategic Planning, Performance & Financial Management, HR Management & Workforce Development, Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance and Risk Management

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Educated to degree level OR equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong evidence of career progression through continuing professional development.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, highly desirable.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Irish healthcare system and HSE agenda.
- Proven middle/senior management experience in a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of financial frameworks, commissioning, workforce planning, and governance.
- Strong expertise in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated success in operational and performance management.
- Experience in workforce management, recruitment, and performance management.
- Excellent analytical, communication, change management, and project management skills.
- Budgetary and financial management skills.
- Ability to manage clinical and business risks and deliver sustainable improvements Experience in strategic planning and operational implementation.
- Eligible to work in Ireland.
