About the Role

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care that promotes the dignity, independence, comfort, and wellbeing of residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Assist residents with eating, drinking, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Build positive relationships by providing companionship and emotional support.
  • Participate in and help organise social and recreational activities.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and best practice standards.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

  • Be an EU citizen.
  • Have excellent English language skills.
  • Hold a QQI Level 5 qualification or an equivalent qualification in one of the following:
    • Healthcare Assistant
    • Care Assistant
    • Nursing Assistant
    • Social Care
    • Special Needs
    • Nursing Care Technician
    • Technician in Care for People
    • Support Worker
    • Nursing
  • Previous experience in elderly care is desirable.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be organised, observant, compassionate, and professional.
  • Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Be flexible to work both day and night shifts.
