Clinical Nurse Specialists - Roscommon
Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client based in Roscommon are currently recruiting a Senior Staff Nurse / Clinical Nurse Manager for a busy nursing home based in Co Roscommon commutable from Leitrim, parts of Sligo and Mayo.
The Clinical Nurse Manager supports the Person in Charge (PIC) in leading and coordinating all aspects of nursing home operations. The CNM ensures high standards of resident care aligned with national and international best practice, statutory regulations, and the ethos of person‑centred care.
******Salaries are negotiable and depended on previous experience
Key Responsibilities
- Act as PIC in their absence in line with the Health Act 2007, regulations, and HIQA standards.
- Support the PIC in the overall management and daily operations of the nursing home.
- Provide strong clinical leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff to maintain high care standards and team morale.
- Maintain a caring, respectful, and person‑centred environment that meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of residents.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with residents based on dignity, equality, and respect.
- Promote and uphold safeguarding practices, responding appropriately to any concerns or incidents.
- Work day, night, and weekend shifts as required
Education & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with a Third-Level Nursing Degree and active NMBI PIN.
- Up‑to‑date training in Infection Control, Moving & Handling, Medication Management, CPR, Dementia Care, and Safeguarding (training available if needed).
- Post‑registration qualification in healthcare management (or willingness to complete).
- Qualification in Gerontology or Dementia Care is an advantage.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years post‑registration experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a nursing home setting.
- At least 1 year in a management or supervisory role (desirable).
- Strong clinical competence and a genuine commitment to high‑quality care for older adults.
