Clinical Nurse Manager - Clonmel, Co. Tipperary

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement change, particularly with reference to HIQA standards.
  • Display leadership, innovation, and creativity in working with staff and residents.
  • Conduct and supervise audits of all aspects of nursing care, including medication management and daily spot checks.
  • Oversee the reception and integration of new residents.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to address residents' comprehensive needs.
  • Provide support and supervision to nursing and care staff, including orientation, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure excellent communication during daily resident hand-overs and coordinate shift tasks.
  • Step up as the person in charge when required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Nursing Experience: Minimum 2 years in a nursing home in Ireland, with at least 5 years of nursing experience.
  • Management Experience: Preferably has SSN or CNM experience. Strong senior staff nurses without CNM experience will also be considered.
  • Communication Skills: High level of English proficiency.
  • Speciality: Interest in a particular area of nursing with relevant courses undertaken, such as gerontology, infection control, or dementia.
