Community Staff Nurse – Paediatric Homecare

We are currently recruiting a Community Staff Nurse to provide one-to-one nursing care for a young teenage paediatric client in their home on the Galway/Roscommon border (Glenamaddy/Cashel or Moylough based candidates for example).

Hours:

• 6 hours per day
• 3-5 days per week
• Flexibility available - open to discussing your availability

Pay Rates:

• €26.00 per hour (Monday to Saturday – day rate)
• €28.85 per hour (Monday to Saturday – night rate)
• Sunday premium: +73%
• Bank Holidays: Double pay
• Sunday & Bank Holiday nights: Additional 12% per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in the client’s home
• Implement and evaluate individualised care plans
• Monitor clinical condition and respond appropriately to changes
• Administer medications and manage clinical interventions as required
• Support respiratory care, enteral feeding, or other complex care needs (if applicable)
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively with family members and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Ensure adherence to HIQA standards, safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety policies
• Provide education and reassurance to family members where appropriate

Requirements:

• Current NMBI registration (RCN, RGN, RNID)
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience
• A full clean driver's license
