We are currently seeking a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide one-to-one care for a young teenage paediatric client in a home setting on the Galway/Roscommon border (Glenamaddy, Cashel, Moylough and surrounding areas).
This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s daily life while working within a supportive homecare environment.
Hours:
- 6 hours per day
- 3-5 days per week
- Flexibility available - open to discussing your availability
Pay Rates:
- €19 per hour (Monday-Saturday rate)
- Sunday premium +73%
- Bank holidays double pay
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care in the client’s home
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living
- Support mobility and safe moving & handling
- Assist with feeding and nutritional support where required
- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Support emotional wellbeing and social engagement
- Follow care plans and work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals
- Adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety policies
Requirements:
- Full QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare (all 8 modules completed)
- Full clean driver’s license
- Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland without sponsorship
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional approach
