Cpl Healthcare are seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team supporting children and young people aged 4–18 years across their nationwide residential services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with complex needs within a trauma‑informed, child‑centred service.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in assessing and supporting young people living in residential homes. Reporting to the Clinical Team, you will work across a diverse and complex caseload, provide clinical interventions, and collaborate with an established MDT.

We are open to applications from staff, and senior grade occupational therapists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of each young person within the service and their individual needs.
  • Provide direct clinical interventions and evidence‑based therapeutic supports.
  • Conduct assessments, clinical appointments, and ongoing case management.
  • Attend monthly MDT meetings across 9 residential houses (one meeting per house each month).
  • Collaborate closely with social care teams, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to trauma‑informed, relationship‑based practice within the service.

Candidate Requirements

  • Fully qualified Occupational Therapist, CORU registered.
  • Experience across Tusla services, CDNT, CAMHS and/ or Children in Care / Paediatrics
  • Knowledge or experience in the following areas is desirable:
    • Trauma‑informed care
    • Sensory integration
    • Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)
    • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
    • Best practice within the Irish healthcare and social care systems
  • Full clean Irish driving licence & access to a car (travel required)
  • Ability to work independently with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Working Hours & Flexibility

  • 37.5 hours per week (9am–5pm, Monday–Friday)
  • Part‑time or flexible arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
