Senior Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist - Ballyfermot/ Clondalkin

Occupational Therapists, Senior grade required by Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the HSE, for new opportunities in Ballyfermot Primary Care Centre and Rowlagh Health Centre, Clondalkin.

The requirements are:

• Preferably have adult primary care / adult medical / adult disability / seating / complex cases / neurological / palliative care experience.
• Need to have access to a car (almost all work is taking place in service users homes in / around the CHN Ballyfermot area (Ballyfermot / Palmerston / Inchicore / Cherry Orchards area) or CHN Clondalkin area (Fonthill, Rowlagh, Neilstown, Clondalkin, Deansrath)
• Proficiency in written and spoken (healthcare) english
• The duration is 3 months, and may be extended month – month.
• Preferably the candidate(s) would also have an enthusiastic attitude and be keen to take on what is a challenging work environment –meaning lower than average staffing levels, and lengthy waiting times.

The Candidate will have:

• Comprehensive clinical induction, access to some HSE training as required by the role (determined by OT manager).
• Clinical supervision with an Occ Therapist manager
• Peer support of a small, but experienced, OT Department.

Access to any in-house training / CPD opportunities planned for HSE OTs in the area (where relevant), free and plentiful staff parking at the health centres / base, and access to the Cherry Orchard Hospital Canteen for subsidised meals.
