Senior Physiotherapist - Respiratory - Naas General Hospital - Kildare

Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with our client, the HSE, are recruiting for a Senior Physiotherapist to join a well structured team, working with patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The physiotherapy department have links with UCD and provides clinical placements for UCD physiotherapy undergraduate students from 2 – 4^th year.

Job Responsibilities:

·      To lead and coordinate and deliver high quality physiotherapy services for the patients requiring respiratory care in the cute wards (including ICU) in accordance with the mission, values and strategic plan of the Organisation.

·      Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge from the service with appropriate self-management and signposting.

·      Participate and be a lead clinician as appropriate in review meetings, case conferences, ward rounds etc.

·      Participate and play a key role in the practice education of student therapists. Take part in teaching / training / supervision / evaluation of staff / students and attend practice educator courses as relevant to role

Interested candidates will have:

·      A recognised qualification as a Physiotherapist with CORU registration

·      A minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification clinical experience with at least 6 months recent experience within the ICU setting

·      Experience in respiratory care and tracheostomy care

·      Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the area of respiratory
