Social Care Manager - Under 12's

CPL Healthcare is recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable children’s service provider that is expanding from the Midlands into County Tipperary. This expansion will see the opening of new, purpose-led children’s residential services, offering an exciting opportunity for experienced leaders to be involved from the outset.

This role is ideal for a passionate and experienced Social Care professional who is motivated to lead, shape, and develop a high-quality service for young people in care.

The Role

As Social Care Manager, you will have full responsibility for the effective delivery of a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed residential service, ensuring the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.

Key Duties

Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the children’s residential service

Recruit, supervise, and develop a skilled and motivated staff team

Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, safeguarding requirements, and legislation

Oversee care planning, risk management, and quality assurance processes

Build strong relationships with young people, families, and external professionals

Requirements

Minimum 4 years’ post-qualification experience

Level 8 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline

Previous experience in a children’s residential setting

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills

In-depth knowledge of HIQA regulations and child protection practice
