Social Care Worker (Full Time) – Disability Services, Wicklow

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism? Do you have a person-centred approach and the ability to work as part of a compassionate team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Social Care Worker in a full-time position in Wicklow.

Position: Social Care Worker

Location: Wicklow

Hours: 39 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality person-centred care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
  • Assist in daily living activities, promoting independence, social inclusion, and personal development.
  • Support individuals with personal care, health management, and social activities.
  • Work as part of a collaborative team to deliver the best care possible.
  • Ensure all care and support complies with HIQA regulations and standards.
  • Participate in shift work, including sleepovers, night duty, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or currently studying towards a QQI Level 7 BA in Applied Social Studies, Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.
  • CORU registration or in the process of obtaining registration.
  • A genuine interest in working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and autism.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability for shift work, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of HIQA regulations for residential and respite services.
  • A Full driving license and willingness to drive company vehicles.
