Sterilisation Department Technician / CSSD Operative

South Dublin

4 days per week, full time, permanent role.

About the Role

This vital position involves managing all aspects of the cleaning, sterilisation and maintenance of surgical equipment, ensuring the highest hygiene standards across the clinic. You will also support the surgery team by maintaining the operating theatre and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

Assembling surgical trays and preparing items for sterilisation.

Inspecting instruments and equipment for cleanliness, defects, and malfunctions and reporting issues to the nursing team.

Documenting sterilisation cycles and labelling products with sterilisation dates.

Cleaning and maintaining the Operating Theatre, kitchen and general areas.

Assisting with stock control, storage and general building maintenance as required.

Participating in team activities and supporting overall clinic operations.

Skills

A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Self-motivated, capable of working independently while contributing to the larger team.

Detail-oriented with superb precision for handling delicate instruments and medical equipment.

Comfortable and familiar with operating machinery.
