💡We are currently inviting applications for the role of Team Leader within a residential respite service supporting adults with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health difficulties within a respite service setting. This is a key leadership role, supporting the Residential Services Manager in the day-to-day management and delivery of a high-quality, HIQA-compliant service, while leading and supporting a dedicated staff team.

As Team Leader, you will:

  • Support the Residential Services Manager in the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred service
  • Participate in the day-to-day operations of the respite service
  • Supervise, support and motivate staff teams
  • Develop and manage staff rotas, across day, evening, sleep-in and waking night shifts
  • Ensure the implementation and review of individual support and care plans
  • Liaise with families, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain compliance with HIQA regulations, organisational policies and best practice
  • Oversee health, safety, hygiene and good housekeeping standards
  • Ensure accurate documentation and reporting is maintained

📝Requirements

  • Minimum level 7 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Hold a full, clean driving licence for a minimum of 2 years
  • Experience working in HIQA-registered residential or respite services
  • Proven experience in staff supervision and team leadership in a similar setting
  • Strong experience in person-centred planning and care plan implementation
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills
  • Flexibility in working hours and willingness to attend mandatory training
