Perioperative Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout – Plastics/ Ortho/ Neuro
Applicants must have recent experience in Scrub Scout roles, with exposure to Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery and/or Orthopaedic surgery. Experience across multiple specialties will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care
- Scrub and scout across a range of surgical specialties
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anaesthetists, and the wider perioperative team
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Act as a role model for professional practice and compliance with safety standards
- Support patient education related to surgical care and recovery
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in a perioperative / scrub scout setting
- Demonstrated experience in Neurosurgery, Plastics and/or Orthopaedics
- Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent)
- Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to high-quality patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-functioning team
Desirable Criteria
- Postgraduate qualification in Perioperative Nursing (or currently working towards)
