Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the Irish Prison Service, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to join the team at Arbour Hill Prison.
This rewarding opportunity offers the chance to provide spiritual, emotional, and pastoral support to prisoners, helping them navigate challenges, promote positive change, and prepare for successful reintegration into society.
As a Chaplain, you will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting prisoners through all stages of their prison journey. You will provide pastoral care, guidance, and encouragement while helping individuals address personal difficulties, build resilience, and maintain hope during their time in custody.
✅ Support prisoners in adapting to prison life
✅ Encourage positive lifestyle change and rehabilitation
✅ Assist prisoners in preparing for life after release
✅ Provide support during times of crisis, illness, trauma, and bereavement
✅ Build trusted relationships based on respect, confidentiality, and compassion
✅ Visit prisoners throughout the prison and in hospital settings when required
✅ Help prisoners maintain family and community connections
✅ Promote mutual respect among prisoners and staff
✅ Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
✔ A recognised professional qualification in Pastoral Care (or equivalent)
OR
✔ A recognised professional qualification in Theology
AND
✔ A minimum of 1 year's post-qualification pastoral experience in a:
