Person in Charge - Galway

Cpl Healthcare are delighted to announce that they are seeking applications for a Person in Charge in Galway. This role is within a well established organisation which provides a wide range of high-quality community-based services for people with an intellectual disability throughout Galway City and County. These services include day, residential, short breaks/ respite, supported self-directed living (SSDL) programmes, community support, rehabilitative training, and multi-disciplinary supports.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Assistant Director of Operational Supports & Services. The PIC will ensure that the service is run in accordance to the organisations strategic plan to provide exceptional care for service users.

Role Requirements:

·      A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care.

·      A professional degree (minimum level 7) in Applied Social Studies or in Intellectual Disability, Psychiatric Nursing and a current registration with NMB.

·      A relevant management qualification.

·      A proven track record of managing a residential service which meets quality, regulatory/legislative requirements.

·      A proven track record of budget management.

·      Experience of report writing personal support plans, people, and roster management.

·      Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle.

·      Excellent IT skills.

·      Excellent working knowledge of legislative/regulatory requirements and responsibilities.
