Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement Manager

Our client, a leading 39-bed private hospital in Kildare, is seeking an experienced Quality, Risk & Continuous Improvement Manager to join its senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, this pivotal role will lead the hospital’s quality, patient safety, risk management and continuous improvement agenda.

The successful candidate will drive compliance with healthcare standards, oversee quality and risk frameworks, support accreditation activities, and champion a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the hospital’s Quality Management System.
  • Manage risk identification, incident investigations, and organisational risk registers.
  • Drive patient safety initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  • Lead accreditation preparation and ongoing compliance activities.
  • Analyse quality and safety data, producing reports and dashboards for leadership.
  • Deliver staff training in quality improvement, risk management, and patient safety.
  • Support governance, audit, and service development programmes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, Quality, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare quality, risk, compliance, or healthcare administration.
  • Essential: Proven experience supporting and maintaining JCI accreditation within a hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare quality standards, patient safety frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
