Senior Medical Scientist – South Dublin

Cpl Healthcare, in partnership are the Defence Forces are recruiting for a Senior Medical Scientist to work at the brand-new purpose built Military Medical Facility at Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, Co. Dublin.

The facility provides primary care, occupational health and emergency response to members of the Irish Defence Forces and their families.

As a Senior Medical Scientist, you will work in a multi-disciplinary laboratory and will be responsible for Clinical Testing & Analysis; Quality Control & Compliance; Staff Leadership; Operational Management; Risk & Safety Management.

The hours will be 35 hours per week, from Mon-Fri (0830-1630)

The successful candidate will ensure quality assurance, supervise junior staff, and manage day-to -day operations.

Interested candidates will hold:

•A recognised qualification as Medical Scientist with CORU registration 

•An equivalent qualification at minimum Level 9 validated by the Academy of Clinical

Science and Laboratory Medicine (ACSLM).

•A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory since qualifying as a medical scientist in a multi-disciplinary setting or area of specialisation

•Permission to work in Ireland
