Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Service

CPL Healthcare are delighted to partner with our client in the recruitment of a Deputy Manager for a new children’s residential service supporting children under 12 years of age in Carlow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced social care professional to join a progressive and growing organisation committed to delivering safe, therapeutic, and child-centred care.
Working closely with the Person in Charge, the successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high standards of care while providing strong leadership and support to the staff team.
Key Responsibilities 🛠️
- Support the overall management and operation of the residential service
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and safeguarding requirements ✅
- Promote a child-centred, therapeutic care environment 💙
- Lead, mentor, and support the staff team 👥
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the service 📊
Requirements 🎓
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a related discipline
- At least 3 years’ experience in children’s residential services
- Previous leadership or senior experience (desirable) ⭐
- Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, safeguarding, and child-centred practice
- Full clean driver’s licence 🚗
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills 💬
