Head of Quality, Risk & Clinical Governance
Location: North Dublin | Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer | Hours: 3 days per week
My client is seeking an experienced and values-driven Head of Quality, Risk & Clinical Governance professional to provide strategic and operational leadership across their community-based services including Home Care, Day Care, Meals on Wheels and Family Support.
This senior role will lead quality assurance, safeguarding, compliance, risk management, clinical governance and continuous improvement frameworks, ensuring services are safe, effective, person-centred and aligned with regulatory and contractual requirements.
You will be a confident senior leader with strong experience in quality, governance, safeguarding, risk management or healthcare/social care leadership. You will bring excellent judgement, strong communication skills and the ability to influence, support and lead change across a complex service environment.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant healthcare, social care, nursing, allied health or equivalent professional qualification.
- Current professional registration where applicable.
- Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in quality, governance, safeguarding, risk management or healthcare/social care leadership.
- Senior management experience in community healthcare, home support, disability, older persons’ services or regulated care environments.
- Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, HSE governance frameworks, safeguarding policy and practice, risk management and quality improvement methodologies.
- Experience in audit, regulatory compliance, inspection preparedness, incident investigation and Board/senior management reporting.
Desirable Experience
- Postgraduate qualification in quality, clinical governance, risk management, healthcare leadership or patient safety.
- Lead Auditor qualification or experience supporting accreditation within a quality management system.
- Experience preparing services for HIQA inspections or external regulatory reviews.
- Knowledge of emerging Home Support Service regulation in Ireland.
- Experience in a non-profit, voluntary, community or Section 39 organisation.
