Person in Charge (PIC) – Intellectual Disability Services

The Person in Charge (PIC) is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and delivery of high-quality, person-centred residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities. This role ensures that services consistently meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents, while promoting dignity, independence, equality, and choice.

The PIC provides strong leadership, drives clinical governance and quality assurance, and is responsible for the development and performance management of staff.

Our client, a national provider of Residential and specialist ID and Autism Services has opportunities nationally for experienced registered nurses, seeking to progress in their career.

Essential Requirements

·       Nursing Degree with active NMBI registration.

·       Minimum 3 years’ management experience in health or social care

·       Recognised management qualification (minimum Level 6 NFQ)

·       Evidence of continuous professional development.

·       Ideally previous experience as a Person in Charge (PIC) or in a senior leadership role

·       Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or acquired brain injury

·       Strong understanding of person-centred care models

·       Knowledge of HIQA standards, safeguarding, clinical governance, and HR practices

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills

·       Eligibility to work in Ireland.
