CPL Healthcare are delighted to partner with our client in the recruitment of a Person in Charge for a new children’s residential service.
Our client is an emerging organisation committed to delivering safe, therapeutic, and person-centred care for children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social care professional to join a growing organisation at an early stage and play a key role in shaping the development, culture, and quality of services.
The Role
The Person in Charge will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the residential service, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in line with regulatory requirements and best practice standards.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to staff teams, promote a positive and child-centred culture, and ensure compliance with HIQA standards, Tusla requirements, and national regulations governing children’s residential services.
This role will suit an experienced and motivated leader who is comfortable working within a developing organisation and contributing to service growth and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within children’s residential services
- Strong knowledge of Tusla regulations, HIQA standards, and national standards for children’s residential care
- Previous management or leadership experience within a social care setting
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and child-centred practice
- Full clean driving licence
Desirable
- Experience in service start-up or organisational development
- Leadership or management qualification
- Experience supporting and developing multidisciplinary teams
- Strong knowledge of governance, compliance, and quality improvement processes
