Person in Charge – Maternity Leave Dublin

Cpl Healthcare in partnership with our client is currently recruiting a Person In Charge for a Maternity Leave position ( 7 months) for a busy nursing home in South Dublin. Our client is a nursing home group with 10 nursing homes located around Dublin and surrounds.

Person in Charge (PIC)

The Person in Charge (PIC) will play a key leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to all residents. The PIC will uphold the values and standards of our client ensuring that care is provided in a safe, respectful, and compassionate environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of a consistently high standard of care and service to residents and their families, aligned with the mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives of the Nursing Home
  • Promote and maintain resident safety while safeguarding dignity, privacy, independence, and individual rights at all times.
  • Foster a culture of inclusivity, ensuring the service respects each resident’s age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, family status, civil status, race, religious beliefs, and cultural or ethnic background.
  • Build strong, meaningful relationships with residents to support autonomy, informed choice, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Advocate for a person-centred approach to care, ensuring each resident is treated as an individual, with their needs, preferences, and comfort prioritised.
  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to ensure best outcomes for residents

Qualifications & Requirements

Essential:

  • Registration as a General Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • A post-registration qualification in the care of older persons, particularly in dementia care.
  • Evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
  • A post-registration management qualification in healthcare or a related discipline.
  • No sponsorship available with this role.
