Clinical Nurse Manager 1 – ICU

CPL Healthcare is delighted to partner with a Cork city flagship hospital to recruit a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) – in line with the development of a Cardiothoracic Service and Intensive care unit.

The hospital delivers a comprehensive range of specialties including cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and spine, emergency care, and outpatient services. This is a a pivotal leadership position, where under the guidance of the CNM2, the successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and management of clinical activity and resources within the ICU and will as a role model promote best practice.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Registered General Nurse with the NMBI
• Minimum of five years’ full-time post-registration clinical experience, including at least 3 years years in critical care or a related area.
• Recognised post-registration qualification in Critical Care Nursing or Intensive Care Nursing.
• Management qualification desirable, or a willingness to undertake one
• Up-to-date knowledge and experience of theatre and ICU practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong commitment to patient safety, clinical governance, and quality improvement
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity environment requiring sound judgement and rapid decision-making
• A clear vision for service development and innovation
