Social Care Worker – Residential Service, Stillorgan
Location: Stillorgan, Co. Dublin
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-Time, 39 hours per week
Salary: €38,918 – €45,421

About the Organisation
Our client is a respected Irish disability service provider delivering specialist supports to autistic adults through residential, respite, day, and community-based services. Their mission is centred on promoting independence, inclusion, dignity, and choice, enabling individuals to live meaningful lives within their communities.
They are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Social Care Worker to join their Residential Service in South Dublin.

The Role
The Social Care Worker will provide high-quality, person-centred support to autistic adults living in a residential setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary support team, the successful candidate will help individuals develop life skills, maximise independence, participate in their communities, and achieve personal goals.
This role requires flexibility to work a roster that includes evenings, weekends, and waking night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred supports in accordance with individual support plans and assessed needs.
  • Support residents with daily living activities, personal care, household tasks, and social participation.
  • Promote independence, self-determination, and active decision-making.
  • Assist individuals in developing practical, social, and life skills.
  • Support residents to access community activities, education, employment, and recreational opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of person-centred plans (PCPs) and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, advocates, and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Promote safeguarding, health and wellbeing, and positive risk-taking practices.
  • Ensure all supports are delivered in line with current legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.

Essential Requirements

  • QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care, Applied Social Care, Social Care Practice, or an equivalent qualification recognised in Ireland.
  • Eligibility for CORU registration as a Social Care Worker (or proof of registration/application in progress).
  • Minimum of 6 months’ recent experience supporting individuals with complex needs in a Social Care setting.
  • Understanding of autism and person-centred approaches to support.
  • Full manual driving licence.
  • Availability to work a flexible rota including evenings, weekends, and waking night shifts.
  • Full permission to work in Ireland.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to disability and social care services.
  • Experience implementing and reviewing support plans and person-centred plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support.
