Cpl Healthcare, in partnership with the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore

CPL are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist to join their team and to provide high quality speech and language therapy assessment and interventions to adults with a range of speech, language, communication, voice and eating/drinking/swallowing difficulties.

Areas covered by the dept are Gen Med, Surgical, ENT, Orthopedics, Frailty, Head and Neck Cancer and Critical Care. We have both Video fluoroscopy and FEES Service. For a candidate the broad range of experience and onsite support and supervision may be attractive.

The typical caseload consists of patients presenting with a range of neurological, medical & surgical conditions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

• Duties include routine intake assessments 

The Candidate:

A recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist and CORU registration

Some postgraduate experience in an acute setting is desirable for staff grade applicants, placement experience will be considered

Experience of managing a general medical caseload with particular experience of stroke is desirable

Dysphagia experience and qualification

Participate in cross site work as required

Experience in conducting Video fluoroscopy is desirable

Be eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland
