Social Care Worker – Residential Services
Locations: Wicklow
Hours: 39 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: From €38,918 per annum
About the Role
As a Social Care Worker, you will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice, inclusion and wellbeing. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help individuals achieve personal goals, develop life skills and actively participate in their communities while ensuring high standards of care and support.
The successful candidate will receive a comprehensive induction programme along with ongoing training and development opportunities to support their professional growth.
This is an excellent opportunity to support autistic individuals and people with complex support needs to live fulfilling, independent lives within their communities.
Essential Qualifications
- QQI Level 7 qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Care, Social Care Studies or equivalent.
- Alternatively, a relevant Schedule 3 qualification recognised by CORU
- CORU registration as a Social Care Worker, or evidence of an active application in progress.
- Minimum six months' recent experience supporting individuals with complex needs in a social care setting.
- Valid working rights for Ireland
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the social care sector.
- Understanding of the needs, rights and aspirations of autistic individuals.
- Experience implementing and developing person-centred plans and care plans.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A person-centred approach that places the individual at the heart of all support activities.
- Full clean manual driving licence with the ability to drive service vehicles.

Working Pattern
This role operates on a rotating shift basis and includes:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Weekend work
- Waking night duties
