Hours: 39 hours per week

Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (12 months)

Salary: From €43,268 per annum dependent on experience

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide assessment, intervention and support to adults accessing disability services, with a particular focus on communication needs, functional outcomes and quality of life. Working closely with individuals, families, support staff and multidisciplinary colleagues, you will help ensure that communication supports are embedded within everyday environments and person-centred plans.

The role is primarily based in Wicklow and will involve travel across services throughout the Leinster region. A flexible approach is required to meet service needs.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Recognised Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist
  • Minimum of two years' post-graduate clinical experience.
  • Membership of IASLT is desirable.
  • Full clean Irish driving licence with access to a vehicle and appropriate business insurance.
  • Valid working rights for Ireland.

  • Experience working within adult disability services, particularly supporting  individuals with autism.
  • Experience undertaking communication and competency assessments.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality clinical standards and best practice.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage their own caseload effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and professional standards.
